MAX KATZ CURING BLANKET, HD POLY, 6'X25'
Max Katz Closed-Cell Insulated Blanket is tough, easy to use- built to take abuse, use and re-use. On job after job, the long-lasting core of soft closed-cell foam with thousands of tiny insulating air pockets, prevents fresh concrete's heat of hydration from escaping too quickly. Heavy duty cover for long life.
Closed-cell insulated blankets to handle the rigors of the job site. Lightweight and easy to handle, the Ma Ka® Closed-Cell Insulated blankets help fresh concrete to cure in cold weather. Fresh concrete has its own heat, called heat of hydration. In many circumstances, if properly trapped and insulated, this heat will be generated in sufficient quantity to be the only source of heat necessary during a 3 day curing cycle.
R-Values
THE K Factor on microfoam is .27
The formula for R Value is as follows:
Thickness of blanket ÷ K factor of Insulation = R Value
1/2" ÷ .27 = R of 1.85
3/4" ÷ .27 = R of 2.77
Due to the fact that Microfoam is manufactured in multi layers which create additional airspace, use the following as a guide for R-Values:
2 Layer Blanket = R2
3 Layer Blanket = R3
5 Layer Blanket = R5
FOR COMPARISON WITH OTHER MANUFACTURE'S METHOD OF TESTING BLANKETS USING ASTM C-518 INCLUDING A 3" AIRSPACE (WHICH DOES NOT EXIST IN ACTUAL JOBSITE APPLICATIONS) WE ESTIMATE THE FOLLOWING R-VALUES:
2 LAYER BLANKET = R7
3 LAYER BLANKET = R8
5 LAYER BLANKET = R15
Standard Concrete Blanket Return Policy
14-Day Return Window We accept returns on concrete blankets within 14 days of the delivery date.
Eligible for Return (Full Refund or Exchange):
Blanket is unused, in new/resellable condition, and in the original packaging.
Minor dust or light dirt from transport is usually okay, but blankets that have been unfolded on a job site, gotten wet, stained with concrete, cut, or show any signs of use are considered used.
Non-Returnable (No Refund or Exchange):
Any blanket that has been used on a pour, exposed to concrete, chemicals, mud, or weather.
Blankets that are cut to custom sizes (custom orders are final sale).
Blankets returned without the original packaging or that are damaged by the customer.
Return Shipping
Customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or defective.
We recommend using a trackable/insured service because heavy blankets (60–100+ lbs) get damaged easily in return transit.
Damaged or Defective Blankets
If the blanket arrives torn, has manufacturing defects, or was damaged in shipping, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos. We’ll send a free replacement or issue a full refund (including original shipping).
How to Return
Email us at jennifer@littlebayconcrete.com or call 906-428-9859 for a Return Authorization #.
Include the RA# on the outside of the box.
Ship the blanket back to the address we provide.
Shipping Methods & Carriers We ship via freight carriers (LTL/common carrier) because concrete blankets are oversized and heavy (60–150+ lbs each). Small accessories may ship via UPS/FedEx Ground.
Shipping Times
Most orders ship within 1–3 business days of cleared payment.
Delivery typically takes 3–10 business days after leaving our warehouse, depending on your location (continental U.S. only).
Alaska, Hawaii, and international orders: contact us for a custom quote.
Shipping Cost
Calculated at checkout based on weight, dimensions, and delivery address.
We do not profit on shipping — you pay exactly what the carrier charges us (or less when we get volume discounts).
Free shipping promotions (when offered) apply only to the 48 contiguous states and only on full-size blanket orders over a certain dollar amount.
Liftgate Delivery (very important for blankets)
Standard freight delivery is curbside/dock only (driver does NOT bring it into your garage or job site).
If you need liftgate service (truck lowers the pallet to ground level) or inside delivery, select those options at checkout or call us — extra fees apply ($75–$175 typical).
Delivery Appointment & Signature
Freight shipments usually require an adult signature and may require you to be present for a scheduled delivery window.
Someone must be available to accept and inspect the shipment. If no one is there, the carrier may charge a re-delivery fee that will be passed on to you.
Damaged or Missing Items
Inspect your blanket immediately upon delivery and note any damage on the carrier’s delivery receipt before signing.
Take photos of any damage while the driver is still there.
Report freight damage to us within 48 hours of delivery with photos — we’ll file the claim and ship a replacement at no cost to you.
Shipping to Job Sites / Residential Addresses Yes, we ship to construction sites and residences, but let us know in the order notes so we can add “Call before delivery” and your contact phone number to the shipping label.
Order Tracking You’ll receive a tracking number (and PRO/BOL number for freight) as soon as your order ships.
